40-Round AK Magazine

This is Arsenal's 40-round magazine for AK-47 pattern rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm, the intermediate cartridge the AK was built around. It holds a third more than a standard 30-round magazine, so you reload less often at the range, in a 3-gun stage or on a long training day. The black polymer body uses the waffle-pattern ribbing that AK owners recognize on sight.

Fit And Construction

The magazine uses the standard AK rock-in method: you seat the front lug first, then pivot the magazine rearward until the rear lug clicks into the magazine catch. The polymer body carries Arsenal's circular logo molded into the side, and the metal feed lips and lugs sit at the top where wear is heaviest. Because of its 40-round length, it extends well below the rifle, so expect it to touch the ground before a 30-round magazine would when you shoot prone.
