British DPM Windproof Combat Jacket

I was not sure what quality to expect, having bought other surplus items that are not good quality. This was a good quality item, and I was very pleased.

If your buying quality used equipment, I suggest looking in the U.S.A.. My purchase of this jacket exceeded my expectations and I will return. Keep America working!

Fantastic parka. Very comfortable and well built. Arms have lining that also functions as insulation. Comes with removable, reversible liner. Will be my work coat this winter! Very warm. Very comfortable. Great value. Excellent company to do business with! I recommend you look them up!

This is an extremely well made coat, but runs big. It's like 3 jackets in one, removable middle liner and an insulated hoodie in the sleeves. If you normally wear a large order an XL, if you normally wear an XL it will probably be a little big on you.

A nice little coat. I wear it when it is not warm enough to wear my parka. The jacket runs a little small but it fits me well. It is a great value for the price. I'm going to get a second one in green or khaki. Very warm but comfortable.

Jacket looks like it's in good condition, only thing is I'm usually 3xl but had to order 4xl cause I like my jackets baggy, just have to make sure to shrink em up a bit after they're washed!

This parka exceeded my expectation, was clean, well made, with the buttons in great shape, all buttons sewn on, no half on. There were no rips or tears. I’m very happy. Washed it and it fit my son perfectly. I have not washed mine yet but it fits me great, and that’s important to know if you are a female buyer, you will be pleased. Not baggy but not fitted, but well tailored. Great piece. Will buy again, will be buying the Navy blue, this red and other colour variants in near future. Highly recommend.

Brand new condition! Very nice. I got a size large and I wear a 3xl in US sizing. So I was hoping for an extra roomy fit and I was able to move around with no issues. If you like the fit, the price, and being around military history, I highly recommend it.

My father had one in the navy during vietnam, bought it for myself and son. Durable enough to wear daily, looks good as well. Comfortable with extra pockets

I have been looking for a new winter coat for some time. Having owned a used Soviet military coat, purchased at an Army Navy store in downtown Los Angeles in the 1970s, which I found warm, practical, and extremely durable, I thought that a surplus, second-hand coat would be a fine purchase. I have had two old "US GI Parka's" from the military clothing store. The latest of these, a huge one that is extremely roomy and with an enormous hood that fits well over a bike helmet, is showing its age, having had repairs over the years, it is well worn, stiff with the accumulated use of washing and is in desperate need of cleaning. It has had some improvements in construction, over the years; this last one I got in about 1986. So I thought it was time to find a newer one. After a couple of purchases of what I felt were overpriced winter jackets, and finding them to be poor quality; (I am no longer the tall skinny man I was when I bought the older parka) I ordered this coat, expecting a smaller, thinner, not as heavy a coat. The manufacturer is Neman Military, who I am certain of from the tag, though it is a little worse for wear. What I found is a much better coat, for the price, in every way than the other overpriced coat I tried to buy, It is thicker, heavier and seems much more substantial. It is comfortable to wear, has great fit, the sleeves are perfect length, the pockets and buttons well made. There are two versions of this coat I am aware of, a zippered, the one I have and a button-up style, not nearly as warm and with an inferior liner. The only real fault with the liner is that it has not elastic around the bottom to keep the bottom edge in place when you put it on, leaving a wide slot that blows cold air up the back of your pants. I do wish it were heavier still, as I have no doubt that in freezing or below zero temperatures it would be perfect. My last two "GI Parka's" both in

good serviceable piece of cold weather hardware - some holes in the cloth, mostly mended, the zipper could use a good oiling, and it is on the bulkier size, and somewhat on the heavier side, but this is counteracted by its insulation. i will add that if you purchase one you might want to keep in mind that with cold weather it will keep you fairly warm, but when wearing for the hot and humid tropical conditions that the islands can generate you might be wanting to invest in an undershirt to go with it. all-in-all, the price of these garments is worth the money spent. my main only issue with them would be in some cases you might have issues getting the parts that you might need in order to make the necessary repairs or alterations you may require. but i can say that if i need any further garments i would go with surplus because i have already purchased items from them and i am well satisfied with them. just my two kupuna. if you have any doubts i would be happy to help and i would suggest you contact the surplus people first, i can answer questions about what you may need to know about the sizes and materials, as well as helping out in any way i can. take care. bkm aku ben mua-mai KO-PO HAWAIIANS-ISLANDERS FROM KAUAI P.S. Fantastic. Excellent value. My 2nd one. Still 5'10" tall and weighing 170 lbs, I ordered a large for layering. Fabulous outer-layer and very breathable and warm in cold and light rain. Very warm for 30-35 degree days in moderate rain with or without a light hoodie.
