The British DPM Windproof Combat Jacket is an authentic British Army issued jacket. This jacket has been standard issue to soldiers in the British military since it was first fielded by the Special Air Service in the 1970s. Having seen service in every British military operation since the Falklands War the British Ministry of Defense has continued to improve upon the original design.
You now have the opportunity to own an original British army jacket that has been combat-proven for over four decades. Not just a front line infantry jacket these windproof smocks are trusted by the British special forces that make up the Special Air Service. For these jackets to be accepted by the elite war-fighters that make up the SAS you can count on them being of the highest quality.

Thjs is the second one I purchased; Just as good as the first one. I don't want to look back and regret not stocking up when they were available at such a good price.
This is a great deal on a proven piece of military clothing. I am very impressed with the coat I received.
First off – size – I wear a size 40 coat – 5’7”, 160. I bought the 170/96. Fits perfect with it being big enough to get a fleece underneath but not too awkward as a coat alone.
Now, the jacket. Not sure the one I received was ever issued, if it was it was well taken care of and is in great shape. Colors are vivid, everything on the coat is perfect. The material is quite heavy duty. Definitely wind proof. I sprayed mine down with waterproofing. Sure it will keep the rain out long enough for me to get home while out in the field.
The Velcro is heavy duty and crisp. Cuff closures are great as is the Velcro down the front. The hood rolled up makes a nice high collar. I added cord locks around the waist to draw in the waist for a more fitted look.
Love the pockets. I plan to use this coat for shooting and woods walks. I can get two standard size high capacity rifle mags in the lower pockets and one in each upper pocket. Nice inner pocket as well for other items.
At $29.95, this is a great deal on a jacket that is very versatile and factional. Definitely do not hesitate and pick one of these up for your kit.
So this got in today. I am very satisfied with it. I ordered this for my father. He is 5'7 and 185 lbs. I got the 170-112 44inch chest which i believe its a US xl and it fits perfectly. not to big but big enough to put a light sweater underneath. Its a christmas gift so my boyfriend tried it on and he is 5'7 and 180lbs. The condition of the jacket seemed to be new and said it was used. The DPM camo seem to be bright and green. Its a great buy. Bought it for hunting.
Mine came like new, very nice and nothing wrong at all with mine.
Perfect condition and a great piece of kit.i have not worn it in bad weather yet but I have no doubt in my mine that it will work with no problem at all. I have not had a single problem with KS at all, Ever. Thanks again
Great used condition. Mine had no holes patches scuffing or tears and fabric was only very slightly faded. Arrived with name tag, cav swords patch, Union Jack patch and regimental (?) tricolor patch. I'll probably remove for hunting use but cool military collectible patches and it really is wind proof, way warmer than weight
I ordered two smocks and sent one back that did not fit (it was a larger size). The garment is in nice shape. Used but we'll cared for. Coloring is still very dark, and the stitching is in great shape. Overall I liked it enough to pick up another in the desert DPM, which turned out to be brand new in the wrapper.
Perfect fit, great condition, good as new if not. Ordered 190/112, 6' 2" height/44" chest. Draw string around waist allows for snug fit around waist. Nice length. Like the pockets and camo pattern
A used jacket in great condition. This being more of a cotton material, I was happy to receive one already broken in. I would normally order a size 180/96... On this I went with a 170/96, great fit a tiny bit tight in the shoulders, but sleeves and waist were a great length. This is fine for my needs, it is not going to be used for cold layering purposes.
Again, KS has delivered real quality at a very fare price.
Came in like new condition. Really like this camo pattern and the extra pockets no one else offers just wish more items were available in the larger sizes.
Waited 30 years to find surplus used at this price- metric size 104 chest close fit but roomy shoulders forgive that . 190 tall big for me but allow web belt access to roomy pockets. DPM pattern not too faded for salty look, gonna order another 180-112 desert pattern & 180 -112 DPM if in stock or 104 if n/a. Look & fit well at a good price compared to new mail order from UK sources thanks KS
Jacket arrived clean and with no damage, very good fabric, many pockets, desirable camo pattern, and with fast shipping from KeepShooting.
I like the jacket and the arms and chest are sized right, but I have a lot of binding in the arm holes. No, I do not have big arms. Can't wear anything except a t shirt with this coat.
I purchased this coat for use in the yard and for camping. Jacket is great condition. DPM colors are very rich and distinct. All zippers and hook-and-loop fasteners are in near perfect condition. Hood has very nice wire rim feature so you can bring the hood as tight around your face as needed based on conditions. The pockets are cavernous and the multiple draw strings make it very adaptable to whatever under-layers you happen to be wearing.
As for sizing, I'm 5ft 7in, 40R chest and the 170/96 size is a perfect fit for outdoor use. Lose enough for a thick fleece and under shirt and the length covers to just below the crotch. On a previous order I went too short (160/96) and the folks at Keepshooting were phenomenal with the exchange process. I had the bigger size sent to me in no time after sending back the original. I couldn't be happier with the jacket and their customer service. Highly recommend.
I bought this jacket for the Alaskan Winter camping/hiking & a possible hunting jacket. It seems up to the task with large easy to use buttons for gloved hands. It has plenty of pockets and is made of a polyester blend which should dry faster.
It fits lose (a plus) and is longish so that it covers my rear. Both of my British DPM Smock/jacket had some type of rank or insignia that made it stand out as a real military piece of gear.
An excellent choice for a tough, comfortable, affordable three (3) season jacket.
I also have the Desert British DPM Windproof Smock and it is newer/less used and is just as good as this smock just with a different camouflage theme.
Jacket was in very good condition, but did have a small tear under the arm. Not a big deal though because i got it stitched back up and is good as new. I wear a warmer "liner" under this jacket and since it is windproof it helps keep me very warm even when the wind whips at you. It has big pockets and the i really like the British flag insignia
The jacket I received was used but seems to have been well taken care of. Colors are still bright only very slight fading, seems just nicely broken in. The cut and features are great for the price. The waist cinches by two string ties on the sides, allowing the jacket to go from quite amply sized to accommodate thick under layers when loose, to a much more fitted look when drawn snug. The two chest zippered pockets are like caverns. No game or back pockets like many newer combat jackets, but with the 4 bellowed front pockets and huge zippered pockets, I can't complain about available storage. The camo colors remind me of US Woodland, but the pattern is distinctively different. The union jack flag on one shoulder adds a little flair. The hood is nicely over sized, folds away and stows neatly externally with a string and button, with the point collar still showing with the hood stowed. The jacket looks and fits better than I expected.
