CCI Blazer 40SW Ammo - FMJ - 50 Rounds

165-Grain 40 S&W Range Ammo

This is a box of 50 CCI Blazer 40 S&W cartridges loaded with 165-grain full metal jacket bullets in aluminum cases. It is practice ammunition, built for range sessions, drills and getting to know a 40 S&W pistol without burning through more expensive brass-cased loads. If you shoot a 40 S&W handgun regularly, this is the kind of box you go through by the case.

Features

• 40 S&W Chambering — Fires in any pistol or carbine chambered for 40 Smith & Wesson, so check the caliber stamped on your barrel or slide before buying.
• 165-Grain Bullet — The bullet weighs 165 grains (a grain is 1/7000 of a pound), a middle weight for the 40 S&W cartridge.
• Full Metal Jacket — FMJ means a lead core wrapped in a copper jacket with a rounded nose, which feeds smoothly and keeps lead fouling down in the barrel.
• Aluminum Case — The silver aluminum cases are lighter and cheaper to make than brass, which is a large part of why Blazer is priced for high-volume shooting.
• Centerfire Priming — The primer sits in the center of the case head, the standard ignition system for modern pistol ammunition.
• 50-Round Box — Each box holds 50 cartridges, enough for several full magazines on a typical range trip.
• Powered By CCI — CCI, a long-running American ammunition and primer maker, produces the Blazer line.
• Made In USA — The box is marked as made in the USA.

Aluminum Case Notes

Aluminum cases do the job for shooting, but they are not meant for reloading, so this load suits shooters who fire and sweep rather than collect brass. Some indoor ranges restrict non-brass or steel-jacketed ammunition, so check your range rules first. The box carries CCI product number 3589 and the full load description on the end panel: 40 S&W, 165 gr., FMJ.
