<p>I wanted green jungle boots, and decided to give these a try. Used in a theater project. Very much looked the part, and the price allowed us to be able to "distress" them without spending a fortune on other brands to make them look like they were not new.</p>

<p>As I take a step, the instep folds and pokes my foot. I like a lot of Rothco stuff, even when it's made in china. These boots aren't as serious in terms of durability and protective features as the original that they are clearly based on. The jungle boots with anti-spike treads. These were only 37 dollars though. So compared to the other boots around that price, like brahma. These boots lose in comfort but win in durability slightly.</p>

<p>These are pretty much what I wore in Vietnam. My old ones lasted about 3 more years after I got back from the jungle but they eventually wore out. I've been kind of wanting a new pair ever since. The materials, stitching and craftsmanship are the real deal. 5 stars.</p>

<p>After getting the boots, I tried them on, and immediately hated them. I wear a size 12, and ther were marked as a size 12, but they were more like a 14! My feet also felt like I was walking on concrete slabs. Actually, come to think of it, concrete slabs feel more comfortable than these. Very disappointing purchase. Returned them immediately.</p>

<p>It had to be returned due to the fact that it was both extremely oversized and poor quality. Do not buy this if you want something that will last you forever like the real gi boots, the seam between the shoe and sole looked like it was already cracking as soon as it arrived. If you're not super picky and get the size that fits someone else could be happy with them but not if they're trying to replace the real ones.</p>

<p>These boots are extremely big and not true to size. Returned original 14 for a 13 for my husband. Still a little big, he complained of them feeling uncomfortable and needing padding. He said he'll try insoles because he really likes the color and style.</p>

<p>The boots look and feel great! They do run a bit large, as I usually wear either a size 12 or 13 depending on the brand. I ordered a size 12 and with one pair of thick boot socks, they still have a little bit of wiggle room, which I like. Two pairs of boot socks (as mentioned in the title) will probably feel just right. I'll update in a few weeks how well they hold up out here in the jungle.</p>
