This is a stainless steel 8-round magazine for 1911-pattern pistols in .45 ACP, made by United Defense. It suits shooters who want spares for the range bag or the match belt, or who need to replace a worn or lost factory magazine. Eight rounds is the common full-length .45 capacity, so it sits flush in a standard-size 1911 grip frame.

- Stainless Steel Body — The tube is bright stainless steel, which resists rust from sweat, holster carry and damp range days better than a blued finish.
- 8-Round Capacity — Holds eight rounds of .45 ACP, the standard count for a full-length single-stack 1911 magazine.
- Caliber Marked — "Cal .45" is stamped on the side near the base, so you can tell it apart from 9mm or 10mm magazines in a mixed range bag.
- Numbered Witness Holes — Small holes along the back of the body, numbered 2 through 8, let you see at a glance how many rounds are loaded.
- Magazine Catch Slot — A cut in the side of the tube engages the pistol's magazine release to lock the magazine in place until you press the button.
- Black Follower — The black follower, the platform that pushes rounds up to the feed lips, stands out against the stainless tube so an empty magazine is easy to spot.
- Black Base Pad — A black pad on the floorplate gives your palm a firm surface for seating the magazine and protects the bottom of the tube.
- 1911 Pattern — Built to the single-stack 1911 magazine pattern used by Colt and the many makers who build pistols on that design.
Fit And Construction
The magazine is designed for full-size 1911 pistols chambered in .45 ACP, including Colt Government-pattern guns. The stainless body, side catch slot and shaped feed lips follow the standard single-stack layout, and the black follower and base pad complete the assembly. Check that your pistol takes a standard-length .45 1911 magazine before ordering, since compact Officer-size frames use shorter magazines.

Perfect match for my stainless ColtI'm pretty picky about what mags I run in it. Tried Wilson Combat, Chip McCormick, and a few others over the years and these Colt stainless 8-rounders are right up there with mags that cost twice as much. Seated and dropped free clean right out of the wrapper, no stiff break-in period, no dragging on the mag well. Fed 230gr ball and 230gr hollow points without a single issue through about 120 rounds. The laser-welded body feels solid, no flex, no sharp edges on the seams. At fifteen bucks a piece I grabbed four of them. Only minor thing is the stainless finish shows fingerprints pretty easy but thats purely cosmetic and honestly who cares on a range mag.

Does exactly what its supposed toNot much to say honestly, its a mag and it works. Drops free, feeds reliably, and the 8th round doesnt give you any trouble like some cheaper mags do. Replaced my old Metalform mags with these and im happy with the switch.
