- Strichtarn Rain Camo Cover — The padded cotton cover carries the authentic East German "rain pattern" camouflage adopted as Kampfanzug 64 and issued by the NVA from the 1960s until reunification.
- 1-Quart Insulated Canteen — The translucent plastic bottle holds roughly 1 quart (0.95 liters) and screws shut with a threaded cap for a secure seal.
- Aluminum Drinking Cup — A nesting aluminum cup with folding wire handles seats over the canteen cap and doubles as a mess cup or small cooking vessel.
- Leather Retention Strap — A black ersatz-leather strap with roller buckle secures the cup on top of the bottle, giving the set its classic WWII-era German canteen silhouette.
- Belt Loop Attachment — The strap includes a loop that lets you hang the canteen from a duty belt, harness, or rucksack.
- Snap-Button Closure — The camo cover buttons up with metal snap fasteners to hold the canteen firmly in place.
- Compact Field Dimensions — The canteen measures roughly 9 in (23 cm) tall by 5 in (13 cm) wide, and the cup stands about 3 in (8 cm) tall.
- Cold War Surplus Issue — Genuine East German military surplus straight from Cold War-era NVA stores, complete with all three components as originally issued.

Love this CamoThe Strichtarn pattern on the cover looks fantastic and the whole set feels solid for its age. I use it for hiking and the foam cover actually keeps my water cool for hours.

UniqueThe Strichtarn pattern is cool and the aluminum canteen is lightweight. I use it when I go to reenactments. Only issue is the paint on the canteen chipped a little, nothing major though.

Great surplus find!For the price this thing is a steal, I was expecting something junky but it actually feels really solid and well made. The camo cover has some fading on mine which is totally fine since its genuine surplus and not reproduction stuff, gives it character honestly. I used the cup to heat up some soup over a camp stove and it worked perfectly, no issues at all.
