Emergency Sleeping Bag

Reflective Emergency Bivy

The SE Emergency Sleeping Bag (EB1311) is a reflective, full-body shelter for when you get caught out cold, wet or overnight with no proper bedding. You climb inside, and the silver sheeting turns your own body heat back toward you. It packs down small enough to live in a daypack, glovebox or bug-out bag until you need it. It is sold as part of SE's Survivor Series for hiking, camping and emergency use.

Features

• Reflective Silver Sheeting — The metallic surface reflects radiated body heat back toward the person inside instead of letting it escape.
• Full-Length Bag Shape — The sleeping bag form encloses you from head to foot, so it holds warmth better than a flat blanket you have to keep wrapped around you.
• Head Opening — An open top end lets you pull the bag up around your head and shoulders while leaving your face clear.
• Yellow Taped Edges — Yellow tape runs along the edges and seams of the bag.
• Folds Into A Small Packet — It folds flat into a palm-sized bundle that fits in a pocket, first-aid kit or vehicle emergency kit.
• Lightweight — Thin sheeting keeps the weight low enough to carry on every trip without noticing it.
• Reusable — The bag is rated by the maker as reusable, so you can shake it out and fold it back down after use.
• Survivor Series — SE's Survivor Series line covers compact emergency gear meant for hikers, campers and preparedness kits.

Where It Fits In Your Kit

This is a backup layer, not a replacement for a rated sleeping bag. It belongs in the kit you carry in case a day hike runs long, a car breaks down in winter, or someone in your group gets chilled and needs warmth fast. It ships in a hang-tab retail box marked with the EB1311 model number, and its small size means you can stash one in several places.
