Low-Profile NVG Goggles
The ESS Profile NVG is a US Army-issued ballistic goggle designed for soldiers who wear helmet-mounted night vision. Most goggles sit far enough off the face to block a monocular such as the PVS-14. The Profile NVG uses a slim frame that leaves room for the device to swing down into place. It is eye protection for shooters, night vision users, and anyone building an accurate issued kit.
Features
- Low-Profile Frame — The frame sits close to the face, so it clears the PVS-14 and similar helmet-mounted night vision.
- 2.8mm Polycarbonate Lens — Polycarbonate is a tough, shatter-resistant plastic, and at 2.8mm thick this lens is built to stop fragments and debris.
- MIL-PRF-32432 Ballistic Rating — The lens meets the US military's own performance standard for ballistic eyewear and passes the MIL-V-43511C .22 caliber impact test.
- ANSI Z87.1-2015 High Impact — It also meets the civilian American safety standard for high-impact eye protection, so it works for range and workshop use.
- Anti-Fog and Anti-Scratch Coatings — A ClearZone anti-fog coating covers the inside of the lens, and a TOUGHZONE hard coat on the outside resists scratching.
- Full-Perimeter Ventilation — Filtered vents run around the whole frame to move air and cut fogging while keeping out dust, sand and splashes.
- Outrigger Strap System — Pivoting side mounts let the strap follow the shape of a helmet, so it does not foul night vision mounts or helmet hardware.
- Anti-Reflective Strap Sleeve — A fabric SpeedSleeve covers the strap to cut shine, shown here in desert tan and in the Army's UCP digital camouflage.
- 100% UVA/UVB Protection — The lens blocks ultraviolet light for long days outdoors.
- Prescription Insert Ready — The frame accepts UPLC Rx, ESSU-Rx and P-2B Rx inserts for shooters who need corrective lenses.
Army-Issue Eye Protection
ESS developed the Profile NVG with US Special Forces, and the US Army authorized it for issue with clear and smoke gray lenses under military specification. The photographs show frames in desert tan and foliage green, with the matching sleeve in tan or UCP, the digital pattern worn on the Army Combat Uniform. Because this is government-issued gear, it was built to the Army's ballistic requirements, and it holds real provenance for collectors and reenactors putting together an ACU-era loadout.

Coyote color looks awesomeI got these for range days. The coyote color matches my gear perfectly. They are comfortable and don't fog up. Wish they came with a hard case but no biggie.

Best Deal On ESS Goggles AroundI've been running ESS goggles for years, bought multiple pairs at full retail so grabbing these surplus for way cheaper was a no brainer. About 300 rds into my last range session with dust and brass flying everywhere and my eyes stayed protected and comfortable.
Excellent value for surplus,Comfortable for extended wear
Wish they had more colors and different lens in stock.

Buy 2 at a timeI bought 2 for the price of one. One of the goggles was in real good condition. the second one had missing foam which would allow dust in. I intended on using these to prevent dust getting into my eyes. They are used and might need to be washed before use. over all they are nice for the money but you may need to make repairs or buy several to get a good pair.
