These long sleeve shirts are thicker than the shirts I was able to find locally. I live in Northwest Indiana, which borders Illinois, so I get a mixture of Chicago and Midwest type weather, which is sometimes a blend of snow, sleet, hail, rain, etc. These shirts fit great and will keep you warmer on the outside when worn as a base layer. I'm looking forward to testing them out this coming winter. They are also comfortable to wear on a summer night, and feel cool to the touch. I'm glad I purchased these shirts and would recommend them to anyone who wants to purchase something for use as a cold weather base layer.
