Hogue AR-15 Buttstock

The Hogue AR15 Stock is a collapsible buttstock for AR-15 rifles and carbines. It slides along a carbine-style buffer tube, the round receiver extension behind the lower receiver, so you can set length of pull (the distance from trigger to shoulder) to suit your build, your body armor or a different shooter. Hogue built it as a straightforward replacement for a factory stock: a slim, skeletonized frame with a smooth top for your cheek and a flat butt for your shoulder.

Features

• Collapsible Design — The stock slides fore and aft on the buffer tube and locks at the tube's preset positions, so length of pull changes in seconds.
• Lever-Operated Lock — A textured lever under the cheek tube lifts the locking pin out of the buffer tube's notches, and releasing it lets the pin snap back in.
• Exposed Latch Pin — The locking pin sits forward of the lever, where you can see that it has seated in a position before you shoulder the rifle.
• Skeletonized Frame — Open cutouts throughout the lower frame remove material without giving up the triangular bracing that keeps the stock rigid.
• Smooth Cheek Tube — The rounded upper section that covers the buffer tube gives you a consistent surface to rest your cheek against when aiming.
• Multiple Sling Points — Round holes at the front and rear of the frame, plus slots near the butt, give you several places to route a sling or attach a mount.
• Flat Butt Pad — A broad, separate pad across the rear spreads recoil over your shoulder and helps the stock sit in the pocket without sliding.
• Hogue Branding — The Hogue logo is molded into the side of the cheek tube.

Fit and Compatibility

This stock mounts on an AR-15 carbine buffer tube. It does not fit the fixed, rifle-length tube used with full-length A2-style stocks. Buffer tubes come in two diameters, mil-spec and commercial, and the stock is listed in more than one variant, so check which tube your rifle has and choose the matching version before you order. The stock is shown here in black.
