MACE Takedown Extreme - Maximum Strength MK-IV

Duty-Size OC Stream

The Mace Takedown Extreme is a maximum-strength OC pepper spray in the MK-IV canister size, the mid-size class often carried on a duty belt or kept in a vehicle or home. It fires a concentrated liquid stream, which lets you put the spray on a target from a distance instead of releasing a cloud. It suits security staff, anyone who wants more capacity than a keychain unit, and anyone who wants a dedicated defensive spray at home.

Features

• OC Pepper Formula — The active ingredient is oleoresin capsicum (OC), an extract of hot peppers that inflames the eyes, nose and throat on contact.
• Maximum Strength Rating — The canister is labeled maximum strength, the top-tier formula in the Takedown Extreme line.
• Stream Spray Pattern — A focused liquid stream instead of a fog or mist, so less of the spray drifts back toward you in wind.
• MK-IV Canister Size — MK-IV is a standard size designation for mid-size canisters, larger than pocket units and sized for belt or holster carry.
• 3.31 oz Net Weight — The label lists 94 g (3.31 oz) net weight, or 94 mL (3.18 fl oz) net contents.
• Hooded Top Actuator — A black molded cap at the top houses the nozzle and the actuator you press to fire.
• High-Visibility Labeling — Black canister with a red band and bold red print, so it is easy to identify in a drawer, console or gear bag.

Carry and Use

Its slim cylindrical canister fits MK-IV pepper spray holsters and pouches, and it is narrow enough for a door pocket or nightstand. A stream pattern needs aim, so practice the draw and get to know the actuator before you depend on it. Pepper spray laws vary by state and city, so check your local rules on carry and canister size before you buy.
