Mace TakeDown Extreme Pepper Gel - Mk-3

Mk-3 OC Pepper Gel

The Mace TakeDown Extreme is a maximum-strength OC pepper gel in the Mk-3 (MK-III) canister, a size that fits a duty belt or jacket pocket. OC, short for oleoresin capsicum, is the concentrated extract of hot peppers. Here it is suspended in a thick gel instead of a fine mist. The gel travels as a narrow stream and sticks where it lands, so less of it drifts back toward you in wind or in a tight space. It is built for personal defense and for officers and security staff who want a reliable irritant on their belt.

Features

• 10% OC Formula — The canister holds a 10% concentration of oleoresin capsicum, the active pepper compound that inflames the eyes and airways.
• Gel Stream Technology — The thick gel leaves the nozzle as a focused stream that clings to the target instead of hanging in the air as a cloud.
• Reduced Blowback — Because the gel sticks rather than atomizing, wind and close quarters carry far less of it back onto the user.
• 18-Foot Range — The stream reaches up to 18 feet (about 5.5 m), so you can engage a threat before it closes the distance.
• 5 to 15 Bursts — One canister delivers 5 to 15 bursts, depending on how long each one is held.
• Flip-Top Safety Cap — A spring-loaded flip-top covers the actuator to prevent accidental discharge in a pocket or holster, and flips open with the thumb.
• Mk-3 Canister Size — At 4.25 inches tall with 1.59 oz (45 g) of contents, it is large enough for a usable supply and small enough for belt carry.

Carry And Deployment

The black canister has a red TakeDown Extreme label and a molded flip-top head that leaves the nozzle direction easy to read by feel. The Mk-3 size is a common format for duty and personal carry, so it suits belt pouches and holders sized for that class. Pepper spray laws vary by state and city, so check your local rules before you buy or carry it.
