Compact Bleeding Control Kit

The North American Rescue Individual Aid Kit (PN 85-0404) holds the basic supplies for treating bleeding from penetrating and other traumatic injuries, vacuum-sealed into one small brick. It is built for people without medical training as well as caregivers, so the contents are limited to items that are simple to use under stress. At 5.75" x 3.5" x 2" and 6.6 ounces, it fits in a cargo pocket, glovebox, range bag or pack.

Features

• NAR Compressed Gauze — Tightly folded gauze, packed flat to save space, used to pack a deep wound and help control bleeding at the source.
• 4-Inch Emergency Trauma Dressing — The ETD is a pressure bandage that combines an absorbent pad with an elastic wrap, so a single item covers the wound and holds pressure on it.
• Petrolatum Gauze — Gauze saturated with petroleum jelly, 3" x 18" (7.6 x 45.7 cm), that forms an air-tight covering when laid over a wound.
• 1-Inch Surgical Tape — A roll of NAR surgical tape for securing dressings and gauze in place.
• Bear Claw Nitrile Gloves — One pair of size Large nitrile gloves to protect the person giving aid from blood and contamination.
• Vacuum-Sealed Pouch — All five items are sealed in clear plastic, which keeps the kit small and lets you see the contents before you open it.
• Labeled Contents — The printed insert lists every component and the part number, so you can check what is inside at a glance.

Size And Packaging

North American Rescue packs this kit under its Unconventional Medic Specialty Kits line as a sealed, single-use set. It does not include a tourniquet, so many owners carry one alongside it for limb bleeding. The flat, rectangular brick slides into an IFAK pouch, an individual first aid kit carrier, or a pocket in a bag, and the clear wrap lets you spot damage to the seal during routine gear checks.
