Just got it today. Didn't realize it was all metal. The box it came in has been flattened, that's how hard it was to get it out. Scooped some sand with it and that was great. It's a nice shovel. I just wish it was all metal. The handle is rubber but not bad.

my wife ordered this for her dog who sleeps outside on a blanket. It seems like this could be a quality shovel. When it arrived it looked like a toy, but that may be the intended use for it. We keep it outside for security purposes, but i think if we had an animal that it would do the job for. we are a small animal house and if we have to pick up doggie doo we have to wash our hands after because there are two little dogs and we are low on money. we live in upstate new york, we got a little snow, it is a lot of work to get that stuff out of the carpet and on the snow. its like trying to get a liquid out of carpet. this little shovel will do the trick, and my kids can help out.

We used this to remove sod and a footing trench for a wood shed we are building. It was the perfect tool for the job. The metal is not very thick but sturdy. It worked great for breaking up soil. It was not the easiest to remove the soil but worked well for our needs. Would recommend.
