Description
Features
- Authentic GI P-51 Design — Exact copy of the original military can opener first developed in 1942 and issued with U.S. Armed Forces field rations through the 1980s.
- 2-Inch Body Length — Full 51mm (roughly 2") frame gives you nearly twice the leverage of the smaller P-38, so cans open faster with less thumb fatigue.
- Folding Hinged Blade — Sharp cutting tooth folds flat against the handle for safe pocket, pack, or mess kit storage.
- Lightweight Metal Construction — Stamped steel build adds almost no weight to your kit while standing up to repeated hard use.
- Keyring Hole — Punched hole at the end lets you hang it from dog tags, a keyring, zipper pull, or paracord lanyard.
- Multi-Use Tool — Flat edge doubles as an emergency screwdriver, seam ripper, box cutter, or groove cleaner in the field.
- Mil-Spec Pattern — Built to the same specification used in C-rations and tray rations, with the simple, failure-proof geometry that earned the design its reputation.
- EDC and Survival Ready — Slim profile slips into a wallet, bug-out bag, glove box, tackle box, or camping mess kit without taking up space.

Works greatBought this to throw in my camping bag after my buddy swore by the one he had in the army. Took it out last weekend and opened 3 cans of chili and a big can of beans with no problem, once you get the rocking motion down it goes around the can pretty quick and its way easier on the hands than I expected for being flat metal. Its a full 2 inches so you get decent leverage, my uncle says the little P-38 ones are worse for big hands and I believe him. Also took me a couple cans to really get the hang of the puncture and rock technique, theres a learning curve if you never used one. For the price though you cant beat it, gonna order a couple more for the truck and the emergency kit.
Small and light, fits on a keyring or in any bag
Good leverage for its size, opens cans fast once you get the rhythmTakes a little practice if you never used this style before

Tiny but works greatTossed this on my keychain and finally used it on a can of chili when we were camping last weekend. Cuts through the lid smooth once you get the hang of the little fold out blade, does what its supposed to no problem. Only nitpick is its so small I almost dropped it in the dirt twice cause my hands were greasy. Still super handy and way better than dragging a big opener around.

A Sturdy and Reliable Can Opener!I was hesitant to buy this can opener at first but it's exceeded my expectations. It's lightweight and easy to use while being really efficient with its built-in bottle opener too. Definitely a great purchase for the kitchen!

Perfect classic gear for my kit. This P51 is exactly like the ones my grandpa used to talk about from the army. It opens modern cans without any issues and takes up almost no space in my pocket. It is a must-have for any bugout bag or emergency supply kit.
