AR-15 Field Cleaning Kit
The UTG TL-A041 is a compact cleaning kit for AR-15 rifles and other .223 caliber guns, laid out along the lines of the standard GI kit. It packs a sectional cleaning rod, bore and chamber brushes, a double-ended utility brush, patches and an oil bottle into an OD green nylon pouch that fits in a range bag or pack. It covers routine cleaning of the bore, chamber and bolt at the bench or in the field.
Features
- Sectional Cleaning Rod — Black threaded rod sections screw together to the length you need and break down short enough to store in the pouch.
- Folding T-Handle — A black metal T-handle clips to the front of the pouch and connects to the rod, giving you a firm grip for pushing patches and brushes through the barrel.
- Patch Loop — A slotted tip holds a cleaning patch so you can run solvent through the bore and wipe out fouling.
- Bronze Bore Brush — A spiral bronze-bristle brush sized for the .223 bore scrubs carbon and copper residue from the rifling, the spiral grooves cut inside the barrel.
- Chamber Brush — A wider bronze brush with a flared steel-bristle collar cleans the chamber and the locking lugs where the bolt seats.
- Double-Ended Utility Brush — An OD green brush with nylon bristles at both ends, one large and one small, gets into the bolt carrier group and other tight spots.
- Patches and Oil Bottle — A stack of white cotton cleaning patches and a small plastic bottle with a nozzle cap come in the kit for solvent or lubricant.
- OD Green Nylon Pouch — A woven nylon case in olive drab closes with three snaps along the flap and has a webbing loop on the front for the T-handle.
How The Kit Works
Assemble the T-handle, rod sections and patch loop, then run a patch and solvent through the bore. Swap the patch loop for the rod adapter to fit the bore brush, then the chamber brush, and finish the bolt with the utility brush. The kit is packaged for Model 4/15 and other .223 caliber rifles, and everything packs back into the snap-closed pouch when you're done.

Good kitI got this UTG AR-15 Cleaning Kit and it's pretty much what I needed. The tools are all there brushes, rods, solvent. works well enough for quick field cleanings.

One in Range Bag, One in the Buttstock!My whole preparedness philosophy is redundancy and this kit fits right into that plan. I've got three ARs in the rotation and I ordered two of these one lives in my main bug-out bag and one I confirmed actually fits inside the A2 buttstock on my rifle (it does, just barely, which is pretty cool). The whole kit weighs almost nothing and covers every base: bore brush, chamber brush, slotted loop for patches, dual-ended nylon brush for the bolt carrier and receiver, a little oil bottle, and a cloth for a wipe down. The ALICE clip on the OD pouch means i can throw it on my web gear or MOLLE belt rig without any adapter needed. I compared this against buying the individual pieces separately Real Avid makes some nice individual tools but building a piecemeal kit costs you two or three times as much and you don't get the tidy OD pouch. For under twenty bucks you really can't build this yourself cheaper. The only thing I'd say is toss in a small bottle of your preferred CLP separate because the included oil bottle is tiny, fine for field topping-off but not a serious cleaning session lubricant supply. Overall this is just a sensible, lightweight, grab-and-go solution and I'll be buying more.

Perfect Little Field Kit For The Range BagI wanted a compact cleaning kit that I could keep in my range bag for quick cleanings between sessions and this UTG kit is exactly that. Everything you need for basic bore and chamber maintenance is included and it all fits neatly into the little nylon pouch. The phosphor bronze bore brush does a great job scrubbing fouling out of the barrel and the chamber brush is sized perfectly for the AR-15 chamber which is something a lot of generic cleaning kits get wrong. The cleaning rods thread together solidly and the folding T-handle gives you enough leverage to push patches through without feeling like you are going to snap anything. For a kit that weighs six ounces and costs this little you really cannot ask for more.

GreatI wasn't expecting much for the price, but, wow!! Really nice pouch that holds all you need for thoroughly cleaning my AR. Good quality product. I would definitely recommend this cleaning kit.
