Polymer 5.56 Mag Pouch

This FAB Defense belt pouch carries one 5.56mm rifle magazine at your hip, held upright and open at the top so you can grab it quickly. The shell is molded polymer, so it keeps its shape whether or not a magazine is in it. It suits AR-15 owners who want a spare magazine on the belt at the range, in competition or during training, without strapping on a plate carrier or chest rig.

Build and Fit

The pouch is a single molded polymer piece, so there is no stitching or fabric to fray or soak up water. It accepts the standard AR-15/M16 magazine shown in the photographs and threads onto a belt through the loop molded into the back. Because the pouch has no flap, the magazine stays exposed. That works well for fast access on a range belt, but you lose the cover a closed pouch gives you.
