American Tomahawk Model 2 - Hickory Handle
The American Tomahawk Model 2 is a hammer poll tomahawk built around a drop-forged 1060 carbon steel head and a straight Tennessee hickory handle. The aggressive 4.125-inch bearded edge gives you serious cutting capability while the bearded profile lets you choke up for accurate, fine motor work, and the flat hammer poll handles pounding chores. Heat-treated to 56-57 HRC and finished in protective black powdercoat, it ships with a custom-fitted Kydex sheath. Lightweight enough to carry on a pack or belt yet capable of real wood processing, the Model 2 is a strong choice for camp, bushcraft, and survival kits.

This thing is the real deal!!!!Okay so I've been through a handful of hawks over the years Cold Steel, a couple no-name imports, even a vintage hatchet I picked up at a swap meet and the Model 2 hickory just sits different. The 1060 steel holds an edge like it's got something to prove. I used it on a four-day trip in the Smokies last fall, processed probably a dozen or so dead standing birch and a couple of stubborn green limbs for shelter poles, and it still shaved hair off my arm when I got home. The bearded edge is aggressive in the best way. You can choke up high right behind the beard for detail work and it gives you this weird amount of control you dont expect from something with that much bite. Hickory handle feels honest in the hand, way better than the polymer version I almost bought instead. Arrived sharp enough to scare me a little honestly.
