Compact 440C Hatchet

The Walther Mini Axe is a 9-inch hatchet built for camp chores, survival kits and general utility work where a full-size axe would be too much to carry. It handles kindling, small limbs and rope or cordage, and it weighs just 1.18 pounds. A nylon belt sheath comes with it, so it can ride on a belt or in a pack.

• 440C Stainless Steel Head — The 4-inch head is cut from 440C, a high-carbon stainless steel known for holding an edge well while resisting rust.

Build and Carry

The head is 440C stainless steel with a black coating, and the handle is molded black polymer that will not rot, crack or loosen the way wood can. Walther branding is stamped on the head, molded into the grip and stitched onto the sheath. The axe is made in China and comes boxed with its nylon belt sheath.
