Feeds reliably, no hiccups

Great Mags, But Took Some Break-InI’m relatively new to the FAL world picked up a DSA SA58 OSW about a year ago and wanted some reliable mags without breaking the bank. These United Defense 20-rounders seemed like a solid choice, and for the most part, they’ve delivered. The stamped steel body feels sturdy, and the witness holes are a nice feature for keeping track of your round count. I’ve run about 300 rounds of mixed ammo through them so far, mostly PPU 147gr and some Hornady 150gr, and they’ve been mostly reliable. That said, I did have a few failure-to-feed issues in the first 100 rounds, especially with the Hornady ammo. I think it was just a break-in thing, though, because after a little more use, they’ve been running smoothly. The bolt-hold-open feature works as advertised, which is a big plus. It’s nice to support a company that’s keeping the FAL legacy alive. If I had one complaint, it’s that the feed lips are a little tight out of the box. Nothing a little range time couldn’t fix, but it’s worth noting for anyone who expects plug-and-play performance. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase and would buy these again.

Dropped right in my SA58Ordered a few of these to have some backups for my DSA SA58 and honestly they seated perfect no wobble and no filing or fitting like some mags need. All steel with the drain and witness holes which is exactly what I wanted for keeping some loaded for storage. I got 20 rounds of M80 in one and yeah the spring tension gets firm near the top but nothing crazy. Only nitpick is one of my three didnt lock the bolt open on the last round but to be fair my old GI mag does the same thing in this rifle so its probably my gun not the mag. For the price I already ordered more.

Five stars!I needed a reliable 20-round magazine for my DSA SA58, and this United Defense FAL magazine exceeded my expectations. It dropped right in with no fitting or modification required and locked into place smoothly. At the range, every round of .308 fed flawlessly without any jams or misfeeds. The all-steel construction feels incredibly durable, and the parkerized finish gives it that authentic military look. After running several hundred rounds through it, I'm confident this mag will hold up for years of hard use.
