Since the introduction of helmets there have been unique camouflage covers produced and used by military forces. There have been some very good helmet nets and some not so good helmet nets. These French Army Salade Leaf style helmet nets are one of the best that has ever been fielded by any military force and are certainly one of the most versatile.
What makes this French Army helmet net so good is the materials it is made from and the overall design. Most helmet camouflage systems are made from threads that are fashioned into a net pattern. While completely functional, these net systems tend to break and fail after a few uses in the field. The French used an ingenious system where you have the benefits from a net style design yet construction of these covers is from a heavy duty nylon. Along the entire helmet cover are rows of curved leafs that can be used to add vegetation, alter the camouflage pattern, or customize the look and feel.

Will work well on my climbing helmet if I want to disappear and take a break. Seems to be very a stout build and material. I like the piece , I thought it was a little too expensive but at the same time try to make your own... This is already made and will hold up very well.... Good over a hat or a quick over your head in a blind as well.
