The French Army Sleeping Bag Inner Sheet is an easy addition to any sleeping bag that delivers results. With sleeping bags you tend to either be too cold, too hot, or just not as comfortable as you'd like to be. This generally results in a restless night, which leaves you feeling sluggish the next day when you want to be top-shape for your hike or camping expedition.
Where this poly-cotton inner liner sheet excels is to provide a more comfortable sleep when your are tucked away in your sleeping bag. The material used to make this inner sheet liner is very similar to what your bed sheet is made from, so you will immediately feel more at home when you are in your sleeping bag. With the poly-cotton material you will sweat less, and your body heat will be better retained than sleeping without the liner as well.

I bought this for a backup system, simply because I know a little about European standards with cotton and natural fibers related to military. This was NOT configured for insertion into a mummy system, although it previous reviewers seem to do so. It comes with narrow straps obviously to be tied to a matching rectangular sleeping bag. By itself it could be used under bed comforter as a substitute for bed sheets. The quality and stitching definitely meets military standards. I see other potential uses for it: youth hostel sleeping bag, summer camping bag, snoozing on someone's floor or on top of their bed without leaving perspiration, body odor or oils on it, etc. I purchased from this company a grey cotton liner for army mummy bag with four heavy duty buttons instead of a zipper; as I recall it is Austrian (there is no identification tag); so look for it down the road. I prefer cotton over micro-fibers whenever I can get it. I am always on the lookout for liners because placing high dollar sleeping bags (goose down or lightweight fibers) into dry cleaning or heavy duty laundromat washers is not a good idea over the long run; wreaks havoc on the stitching. Sleeping bag liners were common in the sixties and seventies; seem to have gone out of style. As taught in the boy scouts and military, take care of your equipment, and you know the rest of the story. Hope all of this helps in making a good choice for yourself.
This sleeping bag liner is very handy. It will help keep your sleeping bag looking new and clean. The liner itself is very comfortable and has a home-style bed feel to it.
Not only do they feel good ,they are a great convenience. It's great because you can just pull it out and wash it rather than having to do the whole bag.
