Bought this for my doomsday-prepping husband.Okay so my husband is... intense about preparedness. He's got a bug out bag that weighs like 40 lbs and he watches nuclear disaster documentaries the way normal people watch Netflix. I got him this for his birthday because he'd been eyeballing it for months and honestly i figured it'd be one of those things he plays with for a week and forgets. Nope. He carries this thing around the house now checking everything the smoke detectors, his grandpa's old watch collection, the granite countertops (turns out granite puts off a little, who knew??). It's about the size of a sharpie and charges with the same USB-C cable as my phone which is nice because he already lost the cable it came with (typical). The LCD screen is easy to read and he says the alarms are customizable which... okay sure babe. For $295 it felt steep at checkout but tbh the build quality surprised me. It doesn't feel like a toy. He compared it to some GQ GMC thing his buddy has and said the MIRA feels more pocketable. Anyway, great gift, he hasn't stopped talking about it, 10/10 would buy again just to have him stop describing radiation levels at dinner.
