Compact Camp Axe

The Gerber Sport Axe II is a small, one-handed hatchet for the wood work that comes with every campsite: splitting kindling, trimming limbs and prepping a fire. It packs easily into a vehicle, a camp box or the side of a pack. The included sheath covers the edge between jobs, so you can carry it safely when you aren't using it.

Build And Safe Use

Gerber pairs a steel head with a molded two-tone handle and a sheath that stores the axe edge-covered. The handle label states the axe is for cutting wood only and should be used with eye protection. Gerber also warns against striking hardened objects such as nails or other tools, and against using the axe if the head or handle is damaged or loose.
