Finally, a match sight that doesn't cost $400Shooting CMP matches with my M1A and been limping along with the standard sight. Looked at the Warner and Smith Enterprise options and couldn't justify the price for my skill level. Found this and took a chance. Pleasantly surprised the click adjustments are consistent, the aperture is clean and round, the hood works for my eyes. My gunsmith said it was an easy fit on my Springfield receiver, minimal work. The 1/2 MOA elevation is the game changer for me. I can dial for 100, 200, 300 yards and actually hit what I'm aiming at. Before I was guessing with holdover. Windage is fine enough to correct for breeze without overcorrecting. Finish is holding up, no rust, adjustments still crisp. For the price difference vs the big names I'm very happy. Maybe the $400 sights are better, but this is good enough for my Master classification goals.

Night and day difference over the standard sightIf your shooting an M1A with the standard GI rear sight and wondering why your groups look like a shotgun pattern, this is your fix. The NM rear sight has noticeably crisper clicks on both windage and elevation and the aperture is tighter which forces better sight picture discipline. Swapped this onto my Springfield Loaded in about 15 minutes its a complete assembly so you just drift out the old one and drop this in. Took it to a 200 yard reduced CMP match the following weekend and cleaned up. The all steel construction with the blued finish matches the receiver perfectly too, looks like it came from the factory. Should have done this upgrade years ago.

Incredible Sight Upgrade For Serious M1A ShootersI shoot service rifle competition with my Springfield M1A and upgrading to this National Match rear sight was one of the best things I have done for my accuracy. The windage and elevation adjustments are crisp and precise with distinct positive clicks that you can both hear and feel. Every component is well machined and the all steel construction gives it a solid substantial feel that inspires confidence. The blued finish matches my M1A receiver perfectly so it looks like it was always supposed to be there. My groups at 200 yards tightened up noticeably the first time I used it because I finally have a rear sight that adjusts consistently and holds zero. If you are serious about getting the most accuracy out of your M1A this sight is worth every penny of the sixty nine dollars.

Nicely machined, well-finishedThis National Match rear sight appears to be nearly identical to the GI NM sight.
Parts interchangeability with M1 and M14 sights.
The M14 sights (regular and National Match) sold a few months ago were finished in what appears to be military issue green-gray Parkerizing. This NM sight is finished in what appears to be either black Parkerizing or a heavy dark blue finish. Both the earlier finish version and the current finish are suitable and attractive...they are just different from each other.
Keep one around as a spare.None.
