AUS-8 Tanto Bayonet

The SOG BAR15T is a fixed-blade bayonet that also works as a hand-held fighting and utility knife. A muzzle ring on the guard and a latching pommel let it lock onto a rifle's bayonet lug, and off the rifle it handles like a full-size combat knife. The blade has a tanto profile, and the knife comes with a hard polymer sheath and belt hanger, so it suits rifle owners who want a working bayonet they can also carry as a field knife.

Mounting And Carry

On the rifle, the BAR15T attaches at two points: the guard ring over the muzzle device and the pommel latch on the bayonet lug. Fit depends on your rifle having a bayonet lug and a muzzle device the ring can pass over, so check both before you buy. Off the rifle, the sheath rides on a belt through its webbing hanger, and the slots along its edges give you options for strapping it to other gear.
