Source Drinking Tube Kit
This kit replaces the drink tube on a Source hydration system, the bladder-and-hose setup carried inside a pack or carrier so you can drink without stopping or using your hands. It is USMC-issue: a complete tube assembly with the bite valve and protective cap already fitted, plus a separate quick-disconnect coupler for the reservoir end. Marines, field users and anyone running Source reservoirs can use it to replace a damaged or lost tube.
Features
- Source Bite Valve — The OD green mouthpiece at the end of the tube is the bite valve, which opens when you bite down and drink, and its tip has a knurled collar.
- Tethered Dust Cap — A coyote cover molded with the SOURCE name fits over the bite valve to keep dirt and grit off the mouthpiece.
- Retaining Cord — A black cord ties the cap to the tube, so it stays with the kit when you take it off to drink.
- Braided Protective Sleeve — The full length of the tube is covered in a woven coyote-brown sleeve that protects the hose from snags and abrasion.
- Quick-Disconnect Fitting — A black male QD (quick-disconnect) fitting at the reservoir end lets you unplug the tube from the bladder without draining it.
- Separate QD Coupler — The included female coupler has a gray push-tab latch and a short tube stub that fits on the reservoir side of the connection.
- Polymer Construction — The valve, cap and fittings are molded polymer, which keeps the assembly light.
- Coyote And OD Green — The earth-tone colors match current Marine Corps load-bearing gear.
USMC Issue Hydration
This is the Source drinking tube assembly issued for Marine Corps hydration carriers, so it was built to the same pattern as the tube that came on the original system. The quick-disconnect design lets you pull the tube and refill or swap the reservoir while the hose stays routed through your pack or vest. The braided cover and capped valve suit field use where a bare tube would pick up dirt and abrasion.

Good Fit for FILBE But Valve Takes TimeBought this USMC Source tube kit to replace the worn one on my FILBE pack and it fits perfect with the QMT quick disconnect. The 37 inch coyote tube with the insulated weave cover works well on longer hikes and the Storm valve shuts off cleanly unlike some cheaper options. It took a few tries to get used to the push-pull action but now it's second nature. After about three months of regular use it's holding up fine with no leaks.
