- Quilted Polyester Batting — Insulating polyester fill sandwiched between the outer layers traps warmth without adding bulk or weight.
- Standard Issue Dimensions — Measures roughly 82" x 62" (208 x 157 cm), large enough to wrap up in or fully cover a sleeping pad.
- Corner and Edge Ties — Reinforced cloth ties at each corner and along the sides let you lash the liner inside a standard GI poncho to build a wet-weather sleep system.
- Lightweight and Packable — Compresses down small in a ruck or assault pack, making it easy to carry as a backup blanket, ground cover, or sunshade.
- Made in the USA — Produced under U.S. government contract to MIL-SPEC standards by an authorized military supplier.
- Multi-Mission Utility — Works as a field blanket, poncho insert, hammock underquilt, vehicle throw, or emergency cold-weather layer.

Worth the $$$I received a NOS poncho liner with a tag from 1991. It was like it was brand new out of a Time Machine.

Real USGI woobie not some repro junkLook I carried one of these in M81 from 94 all the way through my first two deployments so I know what the real deal looks like. This one came in issued condition like they said, had a faded stamp inside and a couple small stains but no rips and all 8 ties were still on which is rare honestly. Smelled like every CIF cage Ive ever been in, one cold wash and a day on the line and it was good to go. Same 3 ply quilted nylon we always had, traps heat even when its damp out, dries fast. At 30 bucks you cant touch this with any civilian blanket that works half as good.
Genuine USGI M81, not the thin reproduction stuff
All ties intact, no holesCreases took a few days to fall out

Unissued USGI WoobieThis is the real deal, not some cheap repro. Mine arrived unissued with crisp M81 woodland pattern on both sides - exactly what you'd expect from genuine USGI surplus. The ripstop nylon outer is woven in that tight Oxford weave you only find on contract overrun pieces, and the polyester batting is evenly quilted throughout. At roughly 82x63 and about 1.5 lbs, it's period-correct for the late 80s/90s era gear I collect. The tie strings align perfectly with standard GI poncho grommets (unlike the Devil Dog Depot version I compared it to, which has slightly different spacing). If you're looking for authentic woodland camo kit for your LBE display or just want the warmest blanket known to mankind, this is it. The fact that it's unissued means no faded spots or washed-out look like you sometimes see on used surplus. Pure nostalgia in textile form.

Finally replaced my issued woobie from 2004Lost my original woobie somewhere between Baghdad and Fort Bragg, been trying to replace it for years. Bought two cheap Amazon "woobies" that fell apart in months. This one is the real deal USGI tags, proper stitching, actual warmth. Woodland pattern is authentic, matches my memories. Tie strings are all present, which matters if you actually use it with a poncho (I don't, just use it as a blanket).
Wife tried to steal it for the couch. Ordered her her own. Some things aren't meant to be shared.
Wife will steal it
