Liferaft Fishing Kit
The BCB International Liferaft Fishing Kit is a compact handline kit for catching food when you have no rod or reel. A handline is fishing line you pay out and pull back by hand, so the whole setup packs down to a winder and a few pieces of tackle. It is sized for liferaft packs, boat grab bags, survival tins and bug-out kits, where space is short and the gear has to work without extra equipment.
Features
- Approx. 118 ft (36 m) Of Line — Clear monofilament, a single-strand line that is hard for fish to see, comes pre-wound and ready to rig.
- Winder With Finger Grip — The yellow plastic frame stores the line and doubles as the handle, with finger grooves along the top and notched tabs to hold the line end in place.
- Two Hooks — Blue-finished hooks with pink plastic sleeves over the bend can be baited with whatever you find on hand.
- Two Teardrop Weights — Teardrop sinkers with brass-colored eyes carry your hook or lure down to where the fish are feeding.
- Two Snap Swivels — A swivel turns freely to stop the line twisting, and the snap clip lets you swap hooks and lures without retying a knot.
- Two Lures — A gold hook dressed with tinsel strands and a soft yellow shrimp-style lure give you options when natural bait is scarce.
- High-Visibility Yellow — The bright winder is easy to pick out in a cluttered pack.
- Flat Pack With Contents List — Everything ships in a clear bag printed with the full contents, so you can check the kit at a glance.
What's In The Pack
Each kit contains the line on its winder, two swivels, two hooks, two weights and two lures, matching the list printed on the bag. The pieces lie flat, so the kit slips into a liferaft pack, a survival tin or a pocket of a grab bag without taking much room. Because the winder acts as both spool and handle, nothing else is needed to fish from a boat, a raft, a bank or a jetty.

NATO Spec GearTook this on a camping trip last month and actually caught a couple bluegill with it out of a creek. Everything in the kit is well thought out and the tin keeps it all organized.
