The M1 Carbine 1943 Mag Pouch is a faithful reproduction of the WWII-issue twin magazine carrier used with the M1, M1A1, M2, and M3 Carbines. Built from heavyweight khaki cotton canvas with a lift-the-dot snap flap, it holds two 15-round .30 Carbine magazines in separate compartments. The pouch slides over the carbine's buttstock for fast magazine access at the shoulder, or snaps onto a standard US pistol belt for waist carry. A correct period accessory for WWII reenactors, M1 Carbine collectors, and living-history displays.

Husband loved it.Saw this pouch and figured why not for his birthday. He opened it and immediately got this huge grin like I'd given him a puppy or something. Anyway he spent the next hour showing me how it slides on the stock and explaining how soldiers used to put these on their belts originally but figured out they fit on the rifle too. It's been three weeks and he still mentions it almost every day. For something that cost less than dinner out, I've never seen him this excited about a gift. If your guy is into old military stuff, this is apparently the way to go.
