    Cool and Collectible Bayonet. The Scabbard could be better.

    It is just like I had during Basic Training in the U.S. Army. Except it is stamped steel and much better quality than my original. The Bayonet/Scabble was perfect. But... I would not use it for normal bayonet fighting. There are too many places for my enemy to stick me with his bayonet if I used this bayonet against him. But it is collectible, just for looking at and remembering my years in the military. Also if the worse came to worse and we were being invaded by some enemy. It would serve as well as a normal bayonet. And it would make the person that used it a part of military history.

    Cheap, low quality, looks almost like the real deal, except it doesn't say 'U.S.' on the side of the handle. But you can't really expect too much from a ten dollar bayonet can you? If you really want a reproduction that doesn't scream 'knockoff', and is a little more subtle, then you can't go wrong with this product. If it gets to the point where it will no longer hold up to heavy duty wear and usage, then I will have no problem swapping it out for a genuine M1/M14 U.S. bayonet from the Cugir factory in Rumania. For me, this was an investment in fun and collecting. For actual combat, I'd be much more comfortable using a real issue U.S.G.I bayonet from 1967 or 1972, just because the molds used to make those are much better quality, stronger, more durable, and are built to last for decades of usage. For what I wanted, which was simply a display item, as a piece of WWII memorabilia to hang on the wall, I am completely satisfied with this product. The materials used in the making are good quality. I'm sure that this bayonet would hold up to heavy duty field use and heavy fighting, although I would never actually recommend it for that purpose. That's what you get when you buy a knockoff product. I am perfectly satisfied with this.
