As noted, these original Mosin Nagant M91/30 bayonets are all authentic Russian military surplus pieces. They were originally issued alongside Mosin Nagant M91/30 service rifles that would have been issued to ground forces in the Imperial Russian army, the Workers' and Peasants' Red army and the Soviet army. Other users of the Mosin Nagant M91/30 include Afghanistan, China, Finland, Iraq, Poland and many others. Though the tip have worn dull, all of our Mosin Nagant M91/30 bayonets remain in excellent condition, still perfectly capable of being mounted to your rifle and giving it a correct appearance.
The Mosin Nagant M91/30 bayonet is a spike bayonet, meaning unlike a knife-style bayonet, it is unable to be wielded by hand. Spike bayonets are designed specifically for spearing and stabbing motions and are capable of inflicting wounds that are much harder to care for than those typical of the slashing motions associated with knife-style bayonets.
Having said that, each Mosin Nagant M91/30 bayonet is constructed entirely of steel and features an overall length that measures approximately 19 1/2 inches long with a blade that measures 17 inches long. Additionally, each bayonet includes an individual serial number.

It took a little bit of work to get it to fit on my mosin but since I did that, it has worked great! Bayonet was very sharp coming right out of the box, and looks very authentic. I urge any mosin owners who do not have a bayonet for their rifle to buy one of these, as it is getting harder and harder to find bayonets!
My bayonet came in good condition, but didn't come off very well so i had to tap it off with a hammer and a screwdriver. If you do that, use a towel to protect the metal on the gun and bayonet. Still not a bad product, these bayonets just weren't always made perfectly.
Authentic surplus in great condition. It slipped on securely- mine needed no filing like some of these bayonets do.
Might I also say that the bayonet was well packaged during shipping. It was wrapped in plastic and snug with packing peanuts in an appropriately sized box.
Get one while you can if you need one. The price of these will undoubtedly just keep going up. I bought two Mosins, One came without the bayonet so I was thrilled to find one here at KS.
Very neat little piece of history. Makes the already long mosin even longer. Very cool little item and well worth the money if you don't have one.
These bayonets are extremely deadly and very cool. When put on the already long Mosin Nagant you can keep people very far away.
I wanted to grab one of these before the supplies dry up, and they will. This is quite a formidable bayonet, I would not want someone coming at me with this on their rifle. Very reasonable price.
The star-shaped wounds that these thing leave are really hard to repair, and frankly hard to survive!
The mosin nagant bayonet has such an interesting history, it is just amazing I can own one of them in great condition at such a low price.
The bayonet on the Mosin is very unique in a lot of ways, than the other bayonets on rifles during WWII. For one thing, there was no need to screw and unscrew it off , like some rifles, or a need to slide it on, all you had to do was nudge it from the side of the forend of the rifle, and after that, just pull it to the front. Owning 1 I can say its length is also greater than a lot of the European bayonets, such as a kar98k bayonet. However, it still can't match up to the Kariska Japanese bayonet, which is 17'' -20'' long. Although, the Japanese bayonet was designed to be used as a short sword if need be. Another thing with this bayonet is the distinct look of it, it is very different than a lot of bayonets i have seen before, it completes the Mosin Nagant look. Great price too, considering a lot of these WWII items are more expensive. Once again, great buy and addition to a WWII collection, or bayonet/knife collection.
