Jungle Carbine Bayonet

Very happy to get it, since i saw a survivor friend with one in Vietnam and was impressed how a good thing could be replicated in a short bayonet for the infantry rifle of the times. So here is my unit memento. Will never be used for bayonet fighting, but good for practice with CQB weapons and a piece of my history too! Now have one on a rifle i was assigned in 1970. Now will need to get another for another one i served in for Viet Nam in 1968-69. Very cool and so nice to finally have a decent reproduction after the few real junk ones I was assigned when in those outfits during that turbulent time for our country and me personally! Will not buy a U.S. Army bayonet for my CQB carbine!

Excellent piece. Fits my KRI Defense .30 cal carbine nicely. Will need a sharpening. Heavier than I expected, and does not fit any issued Intrmate fighting/tactical knives.

Beautiful... BUT NOT exactly like the pic. If it was the pic, it would be selling for $1000. Still I like it very much, but don't plan on actually wearing it, I was going to wear it to SCUBA. But, with luck I'll find a pair or wool cover-type pants and wear it. The only reason for the change of plan is that the darn thing is HEAVY, it feels like its full of concrete. So that I why don't plan on wearing it. I wish the materials it was made of were more accurately pictured, so the buyers know exactly what they are getting.

Nice knife. A big blade but it isn't too big. It came with a broken scabbard so don't be like me. You might want to buy a replica scabbard. Or don't...I still haven't fixed it. It looks pretty cool anyway...

If your thinking of purchasing this this knife is an absolute great purchase, i use this knife in full plate fighting, and this knife did well to say the least! When you purchase this item it comes with 2 pieces. The bayonet handle, and the actual tang/blade of the bayonet. You can use a little black stand off, its just little butter and fits the knife handle perfectly to mount the knife. I took my knife and grounded the bayonet down, sharpened and made the parkerization I already have, painted the handle. Once the painting dried i applied clear powder, the end result was awesome and looks amazing in full plate combat! Very durable, not a cheap knock off and is made in England!

<span>This may not be the exact replica of the real thing, used by our veterans in Southeast Asia. But, this particular issue by a Chinese Company does resemble the one I saw on veterans who were still fighting and protecting us from tyranny in Indo-China. When you receive it, inspect it and notice how it fits the end of your M-16 type rifle or M-1 carbine, you know that, even if not real issue during that time period, your weapons manufacturer took notice and that alone will satisfy you. As you use it and become familiar with its feel and balance, that may satisfy your want to possess a weapon used in a time that we could only wish to have again, a time when young men were recruited to do what young men have always done, but they were trained to do so, not to forget and keep forever in their hearts, those lost and missing comrades who made that journey in the years that brought us this privilege to read, own and pass this item on to those who will treasure it as we have. This in not the most accurate, collectors version, but it may be the closest most will ever come, and if you choose to keep this bayonet for decoration only, that in itself should be enough, as it is truly remarkable in the way that it speaks of what is no longer but, will forever be a part of who we are.</span>
