Features
- Tactical Assisted Opening (T.A.O.) — OKC's proprietary T.A.O. system snaps the blade open fast and smooth with a light push on the thumb stud.
- 3.5" AUS-8 Drop Point Blade — Japanese AUS-8 stainless steel takes a keen edge and resists corrosion, ground into a versatile drop point profile.
- Black Coated Finish — Black oxide coating over the blade cuts glare and adds an extra layer of corrosion resistance.
- Tan G-10 Handle Scales — Textured tan G-10 scales deliver a grippy, hand-filling purchase that shrugs off moisture, oil, and rough handling.
- Liner Lock — Stainless steel liner lock secures the blade open under hard use and disengages with one hand for fast, safe closure.
- Ambidextrous Thumb Studs — Dual thumb studs let lefties and righties deploy the blade with equal ease, backed up by a jimped thumb ramp for control.
- Four-Position Pocket Clip — Reversible deep-carry-style clip supports tip-up or tip-down carry on either side of the pocket.
- Lanyard Hole — Rear lanyard hole accepts paracord or fobs for retention and faster draw from deep pockets.
- Compact 5" Closed Length — Overall length runs about 8.6" open and 5" closed, keeping it pocket-friendly for daily carry.
- Built on the Proven RAT 1 Platform — Same workhorse geometry and ergonomics that made the RAT 1 a top-selling EDC, now with spring-assisted deployment.

Better Than ExpectedPicked up the tan RAT IA after handling my buddy's manual RAT 1 for months. The assisted opening is definitely snappier than I expected, honestly gives my Kershaw Blur a run for its money on deployment speed. The AUS-8 steel is softer sure, but it takes a wicked edge and touches up easy on a ceramic rod. Tan G-10 has nice texture without being abrasive, and the liner lock seats solid every time. For the price point though? This is alot of knife for the money.
