I ordered a Navy Knife but was sent an Army Knife. This could have been a simple mix-up by whoever packaged the order but there are several Q&As asking, and was assured that the knife would be stamped US Navy. Despite the wrong stamp, it is a true KA-BAR with the quality and craftsmanship you expect from them.

Legendary Military Knife

Kabar knives are legendary military utility knives, copied, but not equalled by any other US manufacturer. Kabar knives don’t hurl down some robotic assemby line, shot out at the end of the line into a colorful shipping box, untouched by human hands. Kabar knives are carefully crafted, with attention to detail. Some people think Kabar knives are expensive, but if you care about quality, you have to pay the price. If you don’t care about quality, plenty of Ontario knives are available for about half the Kabar price. Kabar knife workmanship is surprising for military knives. Functional and attractive. You won’t regret buying this knife, especially if you’re a US Navy veteran like me. Highly recommended.

Ka-Bar is a quality manufacturer from olean, NY. Real deal military old school tactical knife. Very, very sharp out of the box. Perfect weight and balance. This will last you a lifetime if cared for. The sheath is made in Mexico, but decent quality. Maybe a tad too tight for my liking, but should break in well with some saddle soap or oil. Highly recommend at this price!

Rivets won't hold up to every day use.

On the 2 day of carry th "Handle Snap Retention Strap" rivet pulled through the belt strap webbing. Rivet looks too small to be effective for this problem. When carried on a belt the bottom of the sheath extends to the top of the leg. This makes it possible for the sheath to go under the leg when sitting. Thus, the plastic sheath pulls against the belt loop and the retention strap rivet breaking pulling it through the webbing.
