This is a replacement firing pin for M14-pattern rifles from United Defense, finished in chrome plate. The firing pin sits inside the bolt and carries the hammer's blow forward to the primer, so a worn, chipped or broken pin means light strikes or a rifle that won't fire at all. It suits owners rebuilding a bolt, replacing a damaged pin, or keeping a spare in the parts kit.

Fit And Installation

The pin installs from the rear of the bolt and is held in place by the bolt's internal parts, so it is replaced during bolt disassembly. Tolerances vary between rifles and manufacturers. After fitting any new firing pin, check that it moves freely and that tip protrusion is within specification before firing.
