M14/M1A Cleaning Mat

The TekMat M14/M1A mat gives you a padded, oil-resistant work surface for cleaning, maintaining and detail-stripping an M14 or civilian M1A rifle. Printed on its face is a numbered exploded diagram of the rifle with a 61-part legend, so you can identify each spring, pin and lock as it comes out and check where it goes back in. It is a good fit for owners doing their first full teardown and for experienced shooters who want a clean bench that protects both the rifle and the table.

Construction And Care

The mat is built in two layers: a thermoplastic fiber top surface carrying the dye-sublimated artwork, bonded directly to a 1/8 inch vulcanized rubber substrate. The surface is waterproof and oil resistant, so solvent drips and lubricant wipe away, and the whole mat can be washed when it gets dirty. Its 36 x 12 inch size covers the full length of the rifle, and the diagram is specific to the M14 and M1A pattern.
