This is a good knife
Review byDev G.
I carried this for a couple weeks before doing a review of the knife. I'm very satisfied with the purchase. The knife is sturdy, deploys easy and feels comfortable in my hand. If you are like me and carry a few extra pounds, you will need to take care when returning the knife to its sheath, as you can wind up poking yourself. A lot of reviews discuss the sheath as sub-standard, but I have no issues with it at all. It works for me. The clip is strong. Given the cost of this on compared to a lot of the other similar products, this Ka-bar is a good quality, good value product.

It's a perfect buy.
Review byEmile E.
It's perfect. Stays sharp, doesn't bend, handle fits in palm nicely, fits and stays in sheath well. Easy to draw and store in sheath.

Knife is good, sheath is a little uncomfortable and stiff.
Review byMirasol U.
It is very stiff to remove the knife from the sheath, but overall, no complaints. In an urgent situation, I can certainly pull the knife out just fine.
I wish the sheath was curved a bit to fit my hip, but I might modify it to curve it.

Customer service sucked.

Appears used. Screws to attach clip to sheath are stripped out. Clip itself is scratched seller unwilling to fix problem. Told me to contact manufacturer myself. Crap service.

Sturdy knife thats compact and easy to carry
Review byRonda A.
This knife is compact, yet the design of the grip makes it easy to keep a firm grip on the knife. I find the included holster perfectly adequate. I do not wear the knife with a 1.5" belt, so I have a little room to rotate the handle to not print as much or not at all.

Love it, carry it everywhere!
Review byRichard M.
I never leave the house without it and use it non stop for multiple situations. All i ever carry on me now a days is KA-BAR as they never have dulled on me and they are always as sharp as a razer blade, even my friend says he is impressed by all my KA-Bar Knives. The handle on this one feels really well made not cheap like some knives tend to feel in the handle and the sheath is great too, slides in and locks in extreamly well so you dont need to worry about losing it

Solid
Review bySkye Q.
Great knife for the duty belt. It’s small, but I’m able to hold it in my large hands safely. I was unable to get it to stay put on my belt when pulling the knife from the sheath, so I zip tied it on and it doesn’t move.

Good for it's purpose

This is a good knife for it's intended purpose. It's not a good utility knife but if you're looking for a "get off me" knife this will serve you well. Sturdy construction and design.

Perfect for my son
Review byBrenton Z.
My son is an EMT on a busy 911 system and is constantly needing a knife for seatbelts and bizarre situations. I carried the same model as a peace officer/arson investigator. Can't go wrong with this low profile tool.

Live in a bad area
Review byLezlie A.
And I carry this thing with me everywhere. I unscrewed the clip on the side of the sheath to make it more comfortable to carry in my pants pocket and it worked great. Whenever I'm alone in a parking lot at night, or wherever, I just stick my hand in my pockets and I'm ready to go. All you have to do is push the sheathe forward with your thumb and you're ready to go. Plus blade is less than 2" so CCW doesn't apply. Obviously this is designed for fast pokes but what more do you need? Keep It Simple Stupid

Practical self defense accessory
Review byLeovardo W.
This product lives up to its hype. It's quite easy to wear and stays out of your way. It's easy to draw, and feels solid in the hand. It seems practical for its intended purpose, and the price is right.

Love the knife
Review byCinnamon X.
Knife feels solid in my hand and isn't too small. (I have big hands so this was a surprise for me). Seems very sharp and sturdy. The sheath...is kind of terrible for what is supposed to be a quick deploy back up weapon. The retention on it is way too stiff and requires a hard pull while pressing against the sheath to release it. Something that may be a problem once that adrenaline hits. I will almost certainly be replacing the sheath. Other than that, very happy with the knife itself.

Update: with some constant out and back into the sheath for a week or two, retention seems to be hanging out about where I’d expect. All good here now.

Strong sharp product.
Review byAhslee O.
Excellent knife. It clips on my belt and feels very sturdy. Every first responder should have one for a all else fails weapon.
Ka-bar has never let me down. I have only had it out twice and used it once. Compact and very easy to get out efficiently especially if your on your back fighting for your life. Great to deliver a armpit puncture or go through logging to deliver a fast tendon slice. Like I said I have kmly had to use it once. Ka-bar has never let me down.

Good overall
Review byRodell I.
It doesn’t come very sharp and the handle is a bit small but there’s a version with a bigger handle so that’s on me. Just a heads up for those of us with large hands. I could see the handle being more comfortable that being said. It is very thin.

Sheath clip extremely poor
Review byAquanetta C.
The clip on the sheath isn’t worth much. Sure takes away from the whole setup. I am attempting to see if I can’t fix it but it’s so flimsy I don’t have much hope. There’s the possibility of losing the knife and sheath plus it is hard to upholster the knife as it tends to follow the draw up.. I bent it fairly bad just putting it on the belt the first time .

Decent with a few mods to the sheath
Review byJarius G.
I’ve wanted a good EDC fixed blade basically strictly for self defense. I looked at push knives and other fixed blades that would serve the purpose and settled on the TDI. I’ll basically echo others reviews in the knife itself seems ergonomic the angle in which it Carries is comfortable. The downfall is the sheath. It has sharp edges that need ground down. If you carry the knife under your belt as intended it grinds four small bolt heads that stick out about an 1/8” into your hip. I know others have reviewed that you can buy a new sheath for the knife. My solution was to get a felt pad from ace that would normally go under a furniture leg. Cut it to size and adhere it to the inside of the sheath. I added some electrical tape for good measure. It’s worked out well for me it’s a lot more comfortable to carry all day now that it’s cushioned against my body to keep the bolts from grinding into my skin. I haven’t had any issue with the clip, I know others have complained about it. It’s done just fine for me. Just wanted to throw out a cheap option to address the uncomfortable sheath issue for anyone looking for a solution.
